REVIEW: Tesco Dijon Mustard

Dijon mustard is an excellent topping, spread, or dip – it’s a classic. But does buying a non-branded item have the same taste? Well, in Tesco’s case, it’s certainly a good call! I bought this for 55p, and, given the price, was not expecting much. However, this has exceeded all of my expectations and I now always make sure there is ┬ájar in my cupboard!

Advantages:

  • great price and value
  • shelf life is long
  • perfect mix of salty, tangy and spicy
  • mixes well in sauces and dips

Disadvantages:

  • slight separation of ingredients which needs mixing

REVIEW: Tesco Plain Chocolate with Zesty Orange

Tasty chocolate is something we all want, and whilst most major supermarkets offer their own brand alternatives, Tesco’s 100g Orange Chocolate is a force to be reckoned with. I first saw this bar and decided to try it plain, and let me tell you, it’s good!

Advantages:

  • orange flavour is not too strong or weak
  • smooth chocolate taste
  • creamy despite being dairy free

Disadvantages:

  • high in sugar
  • chocolate quality is lower than branded product
