REVIEW: Tesco Mint Sauce

Mint sauce is great with lamb, on a cold winter’s day, with lashings of potatoes and gravy. In fact, it is so good, I tend to eat it with most savoury dinners! I tried Tesco’s Mint Sauce after loving the Colman’s brand – does an own brand make live up to the test?

Upon first taste the tang was definitely there, as well as the minty flavour we all love. However, the mint was quite rough so it wasn’t as smooth as branded versions. Overall though the sweetness and acidity were perfectly balanced and made this product something I would definitely buy again.

  • great minty flavour
  • perfect balance of sweet and sour
  • perfect spreading consistency

  • some of the mint pieces were too dry
